The Foundation is unique in its quest to re-unite human and animal medicine and to foster an open-minded sharing of information. It has already attracted the support of influential individuals and organisations representing opinion in both medical and veterinary circles.
The creation of the Foundation has been endorsed by senior figures such as Professor
Sir David King – Government Chief Scientific Officer,
Lord May – former President of the Royal Society, and Lord Winston, best-known for his work on IVF treatments.
A Comparative Clinical Science
Advisory Panel, chaired by
Sir Peter Morris, has been
set up with the advice of the
Medical Research Council
(MRC) to provide strategic
advice to the CCSF. The final
responsibility for strategy and
decision-making will remain
with the CCSF Board.
